Not really sure how much of an audience I have but I thought I might want to jot down a few thoughts I have and I suppose properly introduce myself.

I joined DA at the urging of my friend Billie [link] and after taking a look around figured I should post some of my work. Shortly after that I realized that I don't have scans of my better and earlier work and to date I actually haven't found the original prints. I have a pretty good idea of where they are but given certain circumstances I can't check.

I quickly began to develop a stronger interest in developing my photoshop skills and am currently working on a commission for a friend of mine. When I'm finished, I'll see if she would be alright with me posting it here.

So that's enough about why I'm here and what I'm doing. Now for a little about me.

I love traditional photography and if I could afford it I'd have my own darkroom and would use it almost every chance I get. I'm also an avid martial artist and I practice kendo, Japanese fencing. I've also recently taken up iaido, which focuses on smooth actions beginning with drawing the sword from the scabbard and dispensing with imaginary opponents. I've recently been given permission to purchase my own iaito (blunted sword for iaido) so that will be my next big purchase.

Going a little further back into my past, I grew up in Tokyo, Japan (12 years) and spent my last two years of high school in Singapore. I went to college in the midwest and currently reside somewhere on the East Coast. Won't go into too many details though.

That being said, I'm welcome to any suggestions people may have for me, be it changes to pieces I've already posted or something new you think I should try. I always respond so don't be afraid to send me a message.
